Part and parcel of being an event caterer is talking and interacting with guests and customers. When cooking for anyone, even at home for family or friends, your reviews are always going to come from the people that you have cooked for. That is the feedback that lets you know what is working or not working with a dish. That is valuable information, even it is just your kids telling you about your home cooking.

At Hog Roast Enfield we take that feedback in high regard. Both our chefs and servers will make sure to chat with guests at our events to try and gauge how they are enjoying our foods. Often we’ll get a lot of compliments even on just the look of the food, but it is what they say when they come back to the table or have their plates cleared up that really matters. We’ll also do a little watching of the event while guests are eating just to try and get a general view of the first reaction to each bite. When you have guests all quiet and just enjoying the food in bliss, that’s normally a good indicator that our foods are just as delicious as they want them to be. If multiple guests are coming rushing back to our serving tent to grab even more hog roast before it is all gone, then that is an even better indicator!

But then we will always come back to our customer after the event to get their honest reaction. It’s valuable to the whole Hog Roast Enfield team to get our customer’s account firsthand. If there is anything they were unsatisfied with in our service then we will take that onboard and fix it for the next time. When there is something that is getting a lot of compliments, we’ll listen to that too!
