Delicious Reception food by Hog Roast Islington
Hog Roast Islington congratulates the new Mr and Mrs Robinson on their marriage. Kate and Phillip had got married in Florida with a handful of friends and family flying over for their Disney world wedding. Kate and Phillip have lived in several countries, making friendship circles everywhere they went. Unfortunately, only 70 friends and family could attend their magnificent Disney wedding so Philip’s parents organised and paid or a UK wedding as most of their friends live in Europe so could make their way over to the UK much easier than America.
The venue was decorated with strings of photos from the wedding ceremony in America, a few being taken on the Disney rides – how amazing?! That is a dream come true for many people. The centre pieces were different Disney plush holding photos of places Kate and Phillip have lived, which reflected who was sitting on the table. For instance, the photo of Kate and Phillip in front of the Eiffel tower was the table where their friends from France were sitting. Pretty cool idea!
Kate and Phillip’s wedding breakfast was Hog Roast Islington’s speciality: a Hog Roast. Guests were served a heavenly soft roll (or wrap) filled to the brim with moist pulled pork, tasty stuffing and a sauce of their choice (most opted for the traditional apple sauce!). On the side, the wedding party and guests enjoyed crunchy cracking, crisp chips, creamy coleslaw and colourful mixed salad – yum!
Kate and Phillip didn’t know what to have for their evening reception food, they had thought about a BBQ, a cold buffet and even another Hog Roast. At one point they were having their wedding cake as the food thinking that most of the guests would have eaten before the arrival time of half 7pm. Nevertheless, the evening guests indulged butcher sausage and back bacon baps. Soft white baps filled with either sausage, bacon or both with red and brown sauce. These were served with cones of southern-seasoned wedges. The reception food was happily devoured by the guests with many compliments. Kate and Phillip loved the cone of wedges and had the leftover sausage and bacon for breakfast the following day!
