On Saturday evening we catered a Hog Roast Blackfen for an engagement party to a very nice nightclub in town. Catering for seventy-five and in an area we had never visited before. Pork and crackling were to be cooked and we brought with us a lovely big pig! All our meats come from our great supplier who has been with us from the very start. As the meat began to cook we then set about peeling and chopping lots of potatoes we prepare and cook all of our food fresh on site at each and every event. The potatoes were drizzled in oil and covered in herbs and spices and set onto roast. The aroma of the Hog Roast Blackfen cooking was amazing and it made us feel hungry too! The tables were already covered in cloths and banners and balloons covered the room. Lots of pictures of the happy couple covered the walls and we all commented on how much effort had gone into the decorations. We roasted some vegetable skewers and made some salads and coleslaw. The guests started to arrive and we had a crowd around us watching us cook and lots asking us questions, which we were keen to answer. As the couple arrived they were just in time to see our chef do his magic and carve the meat. He makes it look incredibly easy and he tells us time and time again that it is as the meat is so tender and succulent that it cuts like butter. The slices of pork were placed in buns and filled with salad and slaw. We had lots of people coming over to us and asking if we could cater for them this year with Hog Roast Blackfen and we said we would love to! We handed out lots of cards to guests and the couple said they were stunned at how amazing the food was and they never expected it to be so good. We stayed back at bit after we cleared away and chatted to guests who were actually arranging bookings there and then! As we headed home very tired we felt such satisfaction of a job well done.
