Teachers Retirement Party with Hog Roast Dartford!

This Wednesday we were in Dartford to cater at Suzie’s retirement party. After being a teacher for nearly 50 years, her colleagues and friends thought she deserved to retire in style and that meant it was cause for a Hog Roast Dartford!

At the school where Suzie had worked for the last few decades, we had often been invited to come and cater at various school events such as summer fayres and charity fundraisers and had built up a strong relationship with the teachers and school governors. Due to this, we were top of the list when it came to choosing a caterer which is something we always like to hear from past clients.

With the party being held in the local town hall we arrived a couple of hours early to get our hog roasting machine set up. We had been asked by Suzie to do our signature slow roast menu as she never could choose her favourite meat and with this menu, you get three different ones all roasted to absolute perfection! We prepared a couple of  Cajun Spiced Whole Roast Chickens, some Louisiana Sticky Pork Ribs that simply fall off the bone and Creole Pulled Quarter of Spiced Lamb which was Suzie’s personal favourite. These meats are always roasted ‘low and slow’ and smothered in our secret recipe marinades which is what makes them so packed full of flavour. All of this would be served with a signature ‘mac n cheese’, corn cobettes drenched in butter and some Memphis style crunchy coleslaw. We also prepared a homemade vegetarian tart for the non-meat eaters and some roasted vegetable and halloumi skewers which always go down well no matter your dietary preferences.

Before serving, the headmaster for Suzie’s school gave a toast to thank her for her dedication and hard work over her career and ended by saying the school would miss her dearly. We wish you a happy retirement Suzie from everyone at Hog Roast Dartford.
